S.P.O.T. or Servicio Público de Optimización de Trastos (Public Service of Junk Optimization) is a public and travelling workshop by MAKEA, which aims at changing the contemporary throw-away culture, emphasizing the concept that an old object can find a new life and function. S.P.O.T offers to the citizens of Vic (Spain) a free service of assistance and tools to repair and transform objects. The project is an open initiative, which will run from June to September 2011 but can be adopted by the citizens and become a self-managed resource. To learn more: here.
