Public Design Festival invites all of you to meet Observatorium, the Dutch artist group of Waiting for the river project, on Tuesday 28 February at 35 Via Vigevano in Milan.
Dear Sir or Madam, we’re pleased to invite you to visit esterni MUSEUM, the exhibition showcasing our staff of artists and the 2012 in progress projects. It will be open starting from January 31 till March 31 in the following address: Via Vigevano 35 in Milan.
The last days of summer will be animated by Milano Film Festival (9-18 September): independent directors, films premiere, music, get-togethers. The festival’s headquarters will be in Parco Sempione, with a 900 seats open-air cinema, a 12 meter high media tower, a meeting area and other structures like a hammock parking bay to enjoy the park. esterni, in collaboration with Alexander Roemer / ConstructLab, takes care of the venues’ design.

For Public Design Festival 2011 the Dutch designers Jair Straschnow and Wouter Nieuwendjik restyled the popular Panchina Circolare (“circular bench”) by esterni. The design object, an explicit invitation for people to socialize, introduces the newly-born brand esternidesign and will be soon ready to fill empty urban spaces all over the world.
Don’t miss the Public Market at the Public Design Party!
On April 16th at Parco Esposizioni (Novegro) the Festival invites young designers and creatives to be part of a market area showing and selling self produced objects, processed crafts, unique pieces. Public Market is a marketplace of ideas, from design pieces to art and graphic.

From esterni’s archive _ The multipurpose bench built in 2005 for Cantieri Aperti, a project to improve the livability around construction sites in Milan (Italy). With an observatory to have a look at the ongoing working site activities, seats, a chess game, a bycicle pump and much more.

Public Design Festival announces the third edition of the International call for projects to search for ideas and projects for public spaces. After the second edition of the Duepercinque Competition, the call for entries has changed: it is no longer dedicated to parking lot spaces but to site-specific projects for the city of Milan.
The selected projects will be presented during the festival, that will take place in Milan on April 12nd-17th 2011 during the Milan’s International Furniture Fair (Salone Internazionale del Mobile).
